BIG NEWS:  First Presbyterian Church of Thibodaux has joined the Evangelical Presbyterian Church!  This puts us in much better alignment with our national denomination.  Within that denomination we now belong to the exciting "New Wineskins Presbytery of the EPC".  Follow the links for wonderful information about both organizations.

A Church can be a hard thing to choose.  At First Presbyterian Church of Thibodaux we understand.  Our congregation is a mixed bag of folks who have been life long Christians and those who have just become followers of the Way of Jesus Christ and a good mix of everything in between.  That’s why we keep it simple.  We have a full page Purpose Statement but we boil it down to a simple phrase, “We Exist to Reach the Lost and Nurture the Found.”  Life really isn’t much more complex than that we are often lost and even when we are found we need a good deal of help along the way.  If that’s the way you feel then you belong here with us.

 

Here at First Presbyterian Church of Thibodaux we also understand the need to do things in a way that makes sense.  Over the past few decades the Purpose Driven Church (registered Trademark) has shown a model of doing church that just makes sense.  For that reason First Presbyterian Church of Thibodaux has declared itself "purpose driven" and is working towards fully implementing a program that will help each of our members move forward in faith by learning to make Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism essential parts of their lives.  You can learn more about each of these by going to its page on this site.
